How To Use This Guide
In most cases, the language of instruction is English. Programs which require some command of the native language are presented when language training is included in the program or when programs are of exceptional interest.

The precise costs and dates of each program are subject to change. The ~ symbol indicates where approximate dates or costs were given.

Further information about a specific program can be obtained by contacting the program sponsor directly. Address, telephone number and fax number are included in each entry. Where overseas phone numbers are listed, we have provided the international access code 011, country code (in parentheses), and city code (where applicable) to facilitate direct dialing.

This guide is a service of The American-Scandinavian Foundation, intended to encourage cross-cultural educational exchange. Although efforts are made to review the credentials of each program, inclusion in this listing does not constitute an endorsement. If a worthy program has been overlooked, the omission is inadvertent. Reader comment is welcomed. Please address your comments or suggestions to the Exchange Division, ASF.
