Children’s Center Educator – part time
The American-Scandinavian Foundation / Scandinavia House seeks a part-time educator with training and/or experience in early childhood development to work with children ages 1-5, to provide educational experience in conjunction with playing/learning center. Knowledge of and interest in Nordic culture a plus.

Visitor Services Assistant – part time
The American-Scandinavian Foundation seeks a Visitor Services Assistant for Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America. Responsibilities include: greeting visitors and providing information about events, programs and exhibitions; keeping accurate visitor counts, maintaining a daily log of all activities; maintaining reservation lists for films and events; cash register responsibility for sales of tickets to events and programs; maintaining supplies of brochures and information pieces, and keeping reception area organized. Individual also assists Building Manager when needed with programs and events held at Scandinavia House. Good communication, organizational and computer skills a must. Knowledge of and interest in Nordic culture a plus.

Part-time Maintenance Worker/Porter – two positions
The ASF seeks two part-time maintenance workers to handle daily cleaning and maintenance at Scandinavia House, an eight-floor cultural center in mid-town Manhattan. Responsibilities include general cleaning and building maintenance, setting up and breaking down chairs & tables for events, and assisting with deliveries. Position also provides support for the Building Manager. One shift is 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The other shift is 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday.
Qualifications: Prior general cleaning experience and high school diploma required. Must supply references.

Part-time Temporary Positions at The Shop @ Scandinavia House
Part-time sales positions in a museum-style shop. Sales/retail experience, art/design knowledge, and fluency in a Scandinavian/Nordic language preferred. Flexible hours.
Also, Receiving/Stock positions. Computer knowledge a must, attention to detail required. Retail experience a plus.
