FORESTRY AND LIFE SCIENCES IN FINLAND

The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) has received announcements of internships in Finland spring through fall 2008 at the Finnish Forest Research Institute at its research labs and field stations throughout Finland. Placements will be competitive and open to interns throughout the world. Placement are on a first-come, first served basis. Fields include: forestry, biology, biotechnology, ecology, environmental science, and related. American students and recent graduates may apply for these internships through ASF which has a reciprocal exchange program with Finland through its cooperation with The Centre for International Mobility (CIMO). Training period: Varies by position. Usually two to three months, spring through fall 2007 Work hours: 37 hours Income: Scholarships in the amount of EUR 670/month for a maximum of three months are available through CIMO to meet living expenses during the assignment. Housing is arranged; student is responsible for rent. Eligibility for applying through ASF:
