The American-Scandinavian Foundation each year hosts a large number of special events. One of the most important is the Annual Gala Dinner, which brings together friends and supporters of the ASF from across the United States and Scandinavia to celebrate its work and to raise needed funds. At this festive event the ASF often pays tribute to distinguished individuals or organizations by bestowing its Gold Medal, Award for Distinguished Public Service, or Cultural Award.
In addition to the Gala Dinner, the ASF hosts a variety of other special events during the year, including receptions marking the opening of major gallery exhibitions, lectures by noted speakers, holiday parties and luncheons in honor of distinguished Americans and Scandinavians.
