Visiting Lectureship Application Instructions 2014-2015 Competition

Letter of Intent

The letter of intent should be submitted by November 15th indicating your institution’s plans to submit a full application for a Visiting Lectureship. This can be done on university letterhead or via email (grants@amscan.org.) The letter of intent should describe the planned visiting lecturer position, and give details (name and home institution) for the prospective lecturer if possible. The letter of intent should also describe the institutional support that the host institution is prepared to offer, but final confirmation of institutional support will be submitted with the Visiting Lectureship Application form. The American-Scandinavian Foundation will review the proposed plan in the letter of intent and contact the host institution if the proposed plan does not meet the guidelines of the Visiting Lectureship program. The host institution will have the opportunity to revise their plans accordingly in time for the final application deadline.
